Our mission is to provide support, resources and opportunities for Widows and Orphans to overcome their challenges and build a brighter future.
The Foundation
Mercy Obasohan Foundation is a non Governmental organization founded by Mrs. Mercy Ese Obasohan, a Nigerian business woman and humanitarian.
The foundation was established in the year April 2017 with a clear vision and passion of making life better for all Widows and Orphans irrespective of their religious and cultural differences.
All over the world, there are estimated 100 million Widows living in poverty today, millions have been abused and abandoned around the world simply because they are Widows.
An unknown numbers of Widows are being targeted for rape, tortured and murdered, others forced into prostitution. Many are victims of property theft, social isolation, physical and psychological abuse.
I have decided not to abandon the Orphans and Widows because everything in life can’t make you happy. Having everything in a day can’t make you satisfied, but there is one thing which makes you feel good, that is the love of making others happy, putting smile on someone’s face.
